If you have Windows 7 or a newer version, you can use Microsoft's Application Compatibility Toolkit.
If you have Windows 7, you can also download Windows XP Mode which allows you to run older versions of programs designed for XP, to run in Windows 7.
They are free Microsoft utility programs that will allow older programs to be compatible with newer versions of Windows.
