Re: Immokalee, FL Pro-Ams and Sportsman Nat'l
Dave - I just copy-pasted from Ralph's post on DRR. BTW, My gf and I were in the car a week or two ago when I heard you on Claire B. . Laughed my ***** off! Recognized your voice instantly. Didn't know you were trucking these days.
Don - Says Feb 7-10, so sounds like 4 days. I would assume they'd do the two Pro-Ams first. My guess is they'll pair it up with a Thunder Jam show Saturday night to draw more spectators. We've done two Pro-Ams in two days. Can't see why 3 events in four days would be hard at all. Maybe they'll do 1st round of the Sportsnationals Saturday night, and give everyone plenty of travel time on Sunday.
Jim - I'd guess it'll be a few weeks yet. I'm sure they need to study the NHRA schedule and get all of the track ops on the same page, and work within their schedules as well.
I was already planning on going to Immokalee next year, but I'm even more excited about it now. I understand that Ralph Hester is a world-class host. He brought his small-block Chevy powered ice cream maker to the Bracket Finals in Alabama... good stuff! You have to see it to believe it...
