You have a valid point. Mine has a toggle switch on far side of shifter. I can reach it while strapped in, as I have to activate it after the burnout... Yes, guess you could do it that way.

I showed the setup to tech when I first put it in, and they were good with it. Been thru tech several times since in last few years, without any issue.

Where mine is located, and they type of heavy duty metal toggle switch I am using, I would think it would be hard to be accurate with it. And would be really easy for anyone to see... no way to hide what I was doing, if I tried this. Guess that was part of them saying it was ok. Tech did make me show them how everything worked the first time.

There are other(better) ways to do it, as Bob pointed out. Guess its all up to tech official.
