When these boards first got their start I used to post quite a bit and Dan and I often saw things from the opposite perspective. I don't think either of us had a very favorable impression of the other. I met him at Indy in 2001. His first comment, after introducting himself to me, was "I thought you'd be a fat, ugly thing"! I took that as a compliment that he didn't say I was! LOL Anyway, his passion for drag racing can't be mistaken and I've heard many instances of how he came to the aid of a fellow racer.
