Re: Random question stock eliminator
Throughout the years, I have have seen it all from racers that are not serious about safety. Seen people that do not tighten up their harness and/or helmet because its uncomfortable. Some believe that fire jackets and pants are overrated for Stock and Super Stock. I have even seen a few driving dragsters that after they go through the lights after winning their round, lift their arm with a fist, meaning, their arms were not strapped.
With the advent of the factory race cars that exceed 150+ miles, even a slower class car driver should have all the protection he can afford in the event of a collision with another car.
Jim has a great point and shows how lenient NHRA must be getting with racers. I think they put more emphasis making sure a people have a restricted pass than checking the racers in the staging lanes.
