The Polack you're referring to is Duane "Smiley" Jazynka. He's still building engines for lots of local guys in Omaha and still racing occasionally with his former G/G '62 Vette. Runs it just like he did in the 70s, with a Nash 5-speed...he told me, "the rev limiter is the carburetor."
