Re: Live from Englishtown, NJ - NHRA Lucas Oil Series
Jim Boudreau ran 9.94 and 9.95 in two heads up races in a row- rounds 5 and 6. Must have decided to leave it set up the same, to run 9.94 again in the final.
A/SA put on a great show all day. Karl Martel took out David Barton, 10.03 to 10.10, which I thought was a surprise.
In the quarter finals, 4 out of 7 remaining cars were in A/SA. Boudreau and Martel raced heads up, Allison Smyth had the bye. She took the tree, then her family & friends pushed her back to the back of staging. Steve Calabro was the fourth A- car, and broke out by just .001.
Frank Ferucci was on his game all day too. I think "Ferucci" translates to "ferocious" in Italian.
