Shouldn't have to pull trans to find out if is clutchless, just need to go for ride with you and have accelerate in each gear and let off throttle, if it is clutchless the shifter will ratchet back and forth when you let off gas because back side of sliders and rings are ramped and will try to kick out of gear when you aren't in a pull,if you are holding shifter it will ratchet as slider an ring jump over ramps, except for high gear.
Also all the clutchless trans I have ever seen have to have rod from shifter for every gear,4 speed has 4 rods plus reverse 5 has 5 rods plus reverse.
