Hey Bill-----I'm sure all fathers out there that do what we do want to play with their kids , teach them, watch them grow and eventually see them take over or race with you. I'm fortunate to be blessed with three great Sons that are also my best friends and have provided me with ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Although I will always think of them as kids John is a 51 year old grandfather himself. He went 5 rounds at his first IHRA points race before being bounced for no drivers license ( 14 ) ---guess I should have put a farm use tag on the race car. Didn't get to play much for the next 36 years while he was busy with family and taking care of others. Better late than never he asked if I had something he could race . I said there was enough junk around here to probably make two or three cars . Three months-- with very little help from me and 4 bags of glass beads later low and behold he won a race with ( shop sweepins ) ------ Am I proud ? You darn right I am---maybe he will let me go play with him. :-)
