I think most racers are using either the R block or the new P numbered blocks. That is if they have any. Several versions. Most like the small journal (318/340) in any of them. So many people in the whole mess have the Honda journal stuff anyway. Original dated blocks are probably worth more to the restorers than racers. Just for a footnote, if budget or availability prevent it, I would use a magnum block. The metal is better, and the bores are in the middle of the metal casting and are usually available in the junk yard. They will oil through the shaft or through the pushrod.
