Default Re: 2008 rules changes

Scott, have you been hanging with Mike Beard lately? haha

Taken from this site ... http://www.ihra.com/article/1872.html

For 2008, any non-qualified Top Sportsman or Top Dragster vehicles will be permitted to purchase an entry into the ET bracket race if so desired. There is also a maximum field of 128 vehicles at the events that do contest ET, so there must be an opening in the field in order to enter.

So you can move into the et category IF .....

1 - you dont qualify in TD
2 - there is room in the ET category
3 - you shell out another entry fee

Mike Beard - If you're out there, just curious how far would one have to go in IHRA ET eliminations to get his/her $400 worth of entry fee back? (assuming the entry is $200, which I don't know)

As for the -15 and -20 rules ... looks like we switched to gas just in time. We did talk to NHRA at the PRI, and as Rock said earlier in this thread, there will be clarifications on the website. Seems NHRA lost an employee (Jim Skelly?) and they have been behind ever since.
