1. Yes, I think some cars that could go really far under but didn't want to get hit will show. I am not sure of any cars that are in the quicker classes that this would apply to, but I think cars from about O/SA and slower will have more entries.
2. I think the vast majority of cars -.95 under or slower are all in. I would imagine there are some that were quicker than -.95 that had more left. I'm not saying everybody that fast did, but I would think there are a few.
3. The only way the top 20 will effect the bump is if a bunch of cars that weren't at indy last year come. This includes obscure combos not just new cars.
4. Weather conditions can make a huge difference. If you get a morning session with cool Temps you can move the bump up quite a bit. The number of entries will make a difference too. I believe they has more entries in 2014, and I think the bump was higher even with no mineshaft rule.
Bottom line is at Indy most guys won't be holding any or very little unless they can go over-1.20 all in. I would never chance not getting to race to save some for later. I don't think the bump will be higher than -.95
