I didn't get a chance to track down the owner. It was at a Shriners fundraiser for the Shriners Hospital here (we brought the Pierce Arrow which had the valve seat issues a few months back) and had hoped to catch him during our wanderings. I guessed it was more of a Autocross thing, didn't even think about SCCA as you describe.
To stray a bit, there were no current NHRA drag cars in attendance of about 300 cars with maybe 100 muscle cars. We were parked across the aisle from a 1939 Graham Shark Nose, don't recall ever seeing one before. At a summer show we attended a local guy brought out his Tucker, no current drag cars there either. Lots of Mopar Max Wedges and Tri Power Pontiacs here.
So essentially it is just relocating the shoulder belt mounting then?
