D3 has done this before. Not sure how consistsntly it is applied though. I think it is a very good idea. Heck, I think they should award points for record setting as well! You would think the manufacturers that sell the new cars would love that idea! They could even sell "tear down services" for hire for those that didn't want to do their own wrenching!
