Re: New Slicks what do you guys like?
I have ran all brands over the years, not loyal to any, as I pay for them...
The true 9" radials work good on a well set up suspension - good stock eliminator type suspension. They are not as forgiving as a bias tire, but are faster. T-brake makes it that much more important to have good setup.
The normal radials do not last as long as a bias tire. Some brands also offer a light weight radial, they are fast, but do not last. Light weight because they do not have as much rubber to start with. Made for class - heads up runs. And light burnout is important with all radials. Radials also do not recover as well as bias if they start to spin.
I bought a set of the MT pro bracket radials last year. Limited passes due to hurting a motor, but they impressed me in the TX heat bracket racing before I hurt it. Read lot of reviews on line and talked to a couple of people that I know that had them before I bought a set... looking forward to putting more passes on them this year, and hope they continue to work as well, and last as long as I have been told they will.
They do have a 28x10.5 in the pro bracket radials also.
Good luck
Ken
