I know NHRA wouldnt want to give up a entry fee to Nats for setting a record, but maybe a grade point for an entry into Nats for setting a record once. That way it helps a racer that cant make a far away divisional race just to get 1 more point to enter a Nat, now will be given that point for setting a record at a closer div race. Takes no money away from NHRA pockets.
I wish in time trials class cars could run each other for a show and good heads up racing, but I understand its tough to find like class cars in staging when making time trials.
