Default Re: Electric water pump???

Rich, I still have my carpet/floor drying squirrel cage fan. Never got as cool, as fast as the cool-down battery deal. Got the idea from my long time friend Mike Edwards, cooling his car that way. I use a digital temp gauge in the car (reads more exact & lower than analog gauges), and power it off that connector so it shows the temp with the car batteries shut off while charging them. I learned the hard/expensive way to not turn the ignition switch on while charging my 16 volt car batteries. Hard to find 16 volt chargers that don't put out excessive AC voltage. I threw away two due to that. One showed 19 volts D.C., and nearly 30 volts AC. Killled two MSD boxes and a FAST ECU with that damn thing. Next charger was OK for a while, then started putting out excessive AC.
No need to turn the car on like I'm doing it now. No more failing to start for the next run.
Carbureted cars still have ignition boxes to care for. MSD fixed (replaced) mine. I still carry spares just in case. Just glance inside the car to check temp while cooling down.
