We saw Bob run at the '78 Cajun Nats. There were several seasons when it appeared that he really didn't have much serious competition. Then Lee Shepard started doing pretty good in the Reher Morrison Camaro.

Then there was Grumpy & Dyno Don, & even the Hornet X. All were at the '78 Cajuns.
The last pic shows Dyno Don's car beside Shirley's TF dragster, in the staging lanes. Glad we got to witness a small part of drag racing history.
