A Jegs 4.1 transmission shield/blanket is available and inexpensive, although only good for 2 years. The one I had before I went to a complete SFI case did NOT have a date on it...

Most stock 1st gen Camaros cannot fit a bolt on
flexplate shield without modifying (hammering) the floor pan.
Someone got the memo on this, as the RCI blanket is now $290. It was less than $100 about 5 years ago.
