I had a '65 Chevelle convertible, built from a '64. Reasons were the 12 bolt, and the '64 250 hp 327" had 520 heads, the '65 got 461/462 heads. 1.94" Intake valves versus 1.750", and port volume. Also the 4GC carb versus the WCFB. I back-to-backed the carbs. That alone was enough to use it as a '65.
