If memory serves me correctly, for your first question it's your best 2 you finish at. However, for your second question, I think the 10 per round will only apply above your worst round finish. Your first five divisionals (regardless of division) will give you 30 points minimum for making the first round (as long as you are in the qualified field). You get a total of 8 divisionals per season to collect your best five points finishes from them, so I hope you live in an area where some home divisionals are still available to run (if you want to or can afford them)? There are several racers from home divisions, who choose to collect points at another division (which I can certainly understand, if more of those divisions races are closer to their home, than their home divisions events are?), that's especially true out west here in Div's 5,6, &7.

I moved from Div 5 to Div 7, to ease my travel time/budget thus allowing me to race in more events within D7. That may not be an option for you, however chasing points in that division you went to for the two points meets (if the 3rd and 4th you spoke of are also in that same one), may be an ideal change to collect points from, and those 1-2 in your home division can become the out-of-division points races instead?

Depending on where Div 7 schedules the two races we're going to lose once Rocky Mountain Raceway goes away from us after this season, I may be doing the same thing for a race or two? Good luck with what works best for you!
