Re: Experience with Whole Brain Radiation
After my Prostate surgery, my cancer guy referred me to his radiation specialist for followup treatment. He was a fountain of information and through the procedures all he described proved to be accurate. It's isn't brain cancer, but my radio therapist handled stuff like BJ's, too. My suggestion is to ask your oncologist for a referral to a radiation specialist and see what that person has to say.
As a survivor I won't pull punches. It's a long journey. My treatments were around 3 consecutive months of 15 min treatments 5 days per week. There were people in the waiting room with head scarfs, so I assume they were being treated for brain cancers. It was all walk-in.
I can't speak to brain cancers, but the treatment progression for Prostate cancer is surgery / radiation / hormone therapy.
Good luck on the Return Road.
