Ask questions. Get a second opinion, even if just to get more info. Amazing what I learned about my wifes radiation after meeting 2 different doctors 2 times. Sometimes they are lacksidasical with comments, show up with a note pad and write down questions and answers.

Another thing to consider is travel time to radiation lab. My wife was 5 days a week for 6 weeks straight, fortunately lab was relatively close to our home.
