Default Re: 350 SBC Crankshaft Advice

Just got a call from Callies and they declined to produce a Pontiac crankshaft built in the same configuration as the SBC pix that I posted.

I was thinking if it would be OK to take a 55 pound Pontiac crank and tie wrap the SBC crank to it and submit it to NHRA tech for approval???

It's difficult to get companies to commit to a production run for a low number of sales and that's why you have Comp Eliminator type cranks in Stock..

Build it and they will come...

That way when everybody has a Lightweight Callies SBC crank in their Stock Eliminator car the playing field will be level for the SBC again.
