Brian, you are correct about the 5.1 being glycol based .
It is not subject to the problems associated with DOT 5 Silicone based fluids.
The Wilwood fluid I mentioned is a synthetic glycol fluid .
Although they do not mark it as such it meets the specs of the 5.1 fluids.
I've also used the Motul 600 and others on the road race cars ,but the Wilwood performed just as well and is less expensive.
