Re: Stumble off the 2 step
believe it or not foot braking will result in a better 60' in a low stall converter due to the fuel that is in turbulenced and floating in the intake ,,,as far as O2 readings doing low 2 step you will not gain any info ,,

I noticed that the converter flash was about 3k instead of the 5k I see when foot braking.

Couple of questions:
- Why the four wheel line lock? You could have release issues making the car 'tight'.
- Have you tried the two step rpm at the foot brake rpm that gives you the better 60 ft?

Four wheel line lock because I didn't want to shock the suspension, spend the money for a t-brake or pull the trans out without knowing that I'd like top bulb racing. I'm not sure how I'd deal with dragsters running 50 mph faster than me at the stripe. This was supposed to be more of a cheap test. I thought about the brake release as a possibility but I can hear the engine blubber, I think.

Take the intermediate air bleed completely out of the front and rear in the carburetor and go back to the original main jet.
I've got the intermediate pretty lean but I'll give this a try. I also have a 2 circuit 1050 that I could either swap entirely or pull the blocks off and make the 3 into a 2.

i would also add to this that when foot braking without a two step you use both squirters. sitting on a 2 step that extra fuel has been used as soon as it was floored.
I thought about this and was trying not to floor it until the 2nd light came on, but I keep letting go on the bottom bulb, LOL. Obviously I need work.

Yes, I have a couple friends that race with 2 line locks and have zero issues, so I know this can be done.

Thank you all for the responses, they give me hope.
