Jack, I get it. I got beat up by the same combos you did AND by some others that you know of. At least you got a "gift" of your own to help you stay competitive. I'm still waiting for my "gift".
The combos that I would like them to focus on are the combos that just got arbitrarily handed a bad factor 20-30-40 years ago and got forgotten about.
There has to be some kind of a happy medium that NHRA can come up with to get some "affordable" combos the help that they need without the full-blown "welfare" give mes.
As it stands, there's no rationale for a Racer to build a decent, affordable but not very competitive car and have to race it for 10 years getting 2-3 HP back a year.
