Lets say 60 car field and number 1 is -1.19 but only 30 cars are -.851 and you've been laying back. Your car can go -.90 but the number 1 qualifier is a guy or combo you don't like. You control the fate of it being a mineshaft. Is that okay?

I don't think it is about the #1 qualifiers, it would be the ones at the bottom of the sheet that may not be able to run the index if the tracks weren't factored. Why shut them out?
