With no more knowledge about it than I have, when I see numbers like that, I just assume that once the slower car realizes that the quicker car has him covered & will get to the line 1st, he just lets off the pedal, which will reduce his mph number. When the quick guy, realizes that the slow guy has let off, he too backs off. Don't wanna put up any quick numbers that will get any attention. No reason to go any quicker or faster than you have to, to win...is there ?
