Sadly I had to tell her that is true and the money hasn't kept up with the times but I am enjoying what I want to do in retirement.Make it seem better.
Didn't want to tell her what the entry fee is now. Almost double what it was years ago and the money available is less. Good thing I enjoy it because I can bracket race locally for 1/4 the entry fee for the same money and be home in 20 minutes.

When you get bored, take a look at some of the old NHRA tax returns (try 2004) and the newer tax returns. You will see a marked difference in spectator income (VERY low) and Executive Salaries (VERY high).
