Not a political statement here either - But it does somewhat bother me that someone who is going to be at the "tip of the spear" for this National Health Emergency isn't taking it very seriously. So while people are getting sick from the Covid-19 virus, all you have time for is to complain about the media and how it is reporting on the Pandemic. And while the death toll rises exponentially each passing day, your main complaint is that we are "being told what to think", when it's very obvious that there are a host of sources of "good" information out there, all you need to do is look for them. I'm sure your county or State Health Departments have websites full of just the information you say isn't being shared by the "Main Stream Media" outlets. Hopefully your own organization is providing you with the proper guidance on how to keep yourself (and your co-workers) safe during this emergency. The last thing the citizens of your community need is a First Responder who makes things worse. Do you really think it isn't necessary to wear ALL your PPE when interacting with a patient who might possibly transmit the Covid-19 virus to you and others? Is that protocol? And I sure don't need "scare tactics" to tell me that we have a problem here, and can see that what is still going on in Europe will happen here without some major changes to our society. We just need to filter out the "noise".

So as far as I'm being told, by competent authority, I'm in the "High Risk" demographic, so you can friggin' bet that I'm taking this seriously. We're already far enough behind the curve that more people are going to suffer than needed to, but we can worry about that when this is over and we are well again. Testing seems to be ramping up, so we may get a handle on how this virus is spreading, and HOW, so we can target our resources properly. Every day is a new challenge, isn't it?

Hope you and you colleagues remain safe though this, because without you, and others like you, more folks will likely be in peril.
