Re: LORDS Event at Indy
I'm waiting to see what the entry fee will be for the sportsman classes entering this "Divisional" race at Indy. Funny how the first two national events didn't have too many spectators, so not much $ in ticket sales, and pro's don't usually have to pay an entry fee. Now, this third national event is going to "Allow" sportsman racers to attend. Do you think that NHRA is looking at the $ aspect from the sportsman entry fees to make up the lack of revenue? I would say if the entry fee amount for the sportsman at this event is anything more than the normal divisional entry fee, it will prove that NHRA is using the sportsman racers entry fees to make up the lack of revenue. And they continually seem to put the sportsman racers on the back burner especially when it comes to the pros taking priority. How many times have we seen them cancel or postpone sportsman time trials or class eliminations but not change anything when it comes to the pro classes? It will be interesting to see.
