Funny you should mention that. I had pretty much the same thought a couple of hours ago while sitting at a traffic light. I watched a car 99% bust a red light, then remembered that my state has a useless law regarding that.
So then I started to think about where I read about that law. And by doing that, 2020 came into focus.
It hasn't been all THAT long ago that you could trust whatever you read in a newspaper or magazine and didn't have to check 2 or 3 other places to find out if the statement was correct or just bs.
At the time I read it, it wasn't a source like the National Enquirer and it never entered my mind I needed to verify what was written. Sadly, not anymore. Now, it's like the X-Files come to life: trust no one.
