On January 31st, 2021, Dave Stine (53) lost his life in an ATV accident only 2 miles from his house. Most people didn't know Dave that well but, knew his wife Kara Stine (Stricker) who ran Top Dragster, A/Fuel TAD and Super Comp. Dave was a fixture on the NHRA Division 1 & Local Bracket racing tour for the past 9-10 years, he was always helping out in anyway possible when he wasn't racing his own Dragster. Dave was always the first one to jump in and help to change a transmission, a motor or help wrench on Karen Stalba's or DJ Cox's Alky cars when they were short a crew member. He became friends with everyone at the track while also being a tough competitor on the track. He always had a smile on his face, a "Hey Buddy" for everyone he met, an awkward wave and a White Claw to share at nights end. Words can't describe this loss for the drag racing community on the East Coast & D1 has suffered this week.
