Default Re: Great moments in US Nationals history SS/AA and more

For your winter pleasure, I have added a few more really good videos, from the 2001 US Nationals, a short bit of 15 minutes from the 2001 US Class Nationals at Byron Dragway, and have been working on another to come soon from 2005 US Nationals.

The 2001 Indy race was pretty good considering I was running my car and my Crew man Dave was filming lots of it, before I able to resume the remainder, after R2 of class. It was only a few days before 9-11, and was a pretty awesome race.

The USCN was pretty foul weather wise, and the track was very hard to get a hold of with the rubber changing into a gooey glob of moving rubber. So hot and only the best setup cars got a hold of it.

Use the link to my top channel, and select the films you want to see. Its easier for you to see what sections you want to see.

I didn't mention these SS/A stick cars, which I have films of from other years. Joe Faherty, Matt Hensley, and a few more. Its interesting understanding how to run a clutch in those cars, and I think a must read was the old magazine article Dan Bennett wrote in the late 90s or so on how a modern Pro Stock clutch is operated. One of the most thought provoking articles written on driving into the clutch, which is the winners way in all those big HP SS cars, like the A B C cars.

I still haven't figured out how one loads more than a 15 minute chunk of film at a time, and if its possible? Youtube trims the films at times and sometimes when I don't want it to, so sorry for the splits, its the way it is.
