Think about this one; Your running time trials at your local track and there is a Thunder storm that is raining down on the city of Tyler, North of the track.
It is sunny and hot and all of a sudden a lightning bolt hits just past the finish line and takes out the timing equipment.. Both win lites are flashing and the system is toast. ($7000 repair cost out of pocket)
You can't call it a rain out because not a drop of rain water fell..
I decided to give refunds or honor the tickets for the next weeks event.
Here was the catch. I didn't get but 50% refund credit on the track insurance/sanction fees because we had started time trials. arg
If I ever talk about running a track again someone please slap me!!
