As far as I know, that is the same car that Lindy Lindholm & Don Himes raced, before her. Lindy was running it in 2012. He was #55 on this Vegas Q-list.

Have a pic of a High Output newsletter which shows a John Clegg '73 GP. IIRC, the article says that he ran an SD455 engine in it, for a while. Don't think they were available in a GP, but NHRA allows it.
Also have some blurry pics of a '69 GP AHRA record holder.
Don't know how many GP's have been raced, thru the years. But, a variety of Pontiac engines were available in 'em.
Here's an article about a '76 GP that runs low 11's in NMCA Nostalgia Muscle Car class. Guessing that lots of GP's have been used for bracket racing.
