Having attended both (thankfully I have friends that are good at this racing thing), really the biggest difference was swapping dinner at the museum for a short meeting in aluminum grandstands.

If they could upgrade that experience even to a tent in the pits or a pro hospitality area, it would be a nice compromise. The shorter drive was nice and the rest of the event was great.
