The 200 4R is a lock up trans...All of them, unless it's removed .I assume it was ,but why?
What size converter is he using now?

If he's worried about freeway driving, then he needs what's called a 9/12. The back half is from a 245 mm and the front cover and lock up plate is from the original 298 mm.
My personal observation is any O/D trans is slower than a good T350 , so be prepared for that.
