Hey guys, I made it home... I have some more photos from Monday. Between going rounds and working on the race car, I could only grab these shots.
Quick thoughts on the two weeks at the Gators. I missed last years, and could not wait to hit the road for this years. The Baby Gators were awesome, the weather was perfect. The Gator Nationals on the other hand was not the best experiences, but I was still happy to be here. I know we all have issues with NHRA, but we need a place to race and there was nothing they could do with the weather they were dealt.
The crowds were amazing, even with temps in the 40's in the morning on Saturday the place was jammed. Sunday was also jammed packed with fans. I know this sounds like a suck up... but when NHRA does good, we do also, it gives us a place to race. Its not perfect but its what we got, and you all know it whether you say it not, everyone wants that Wally... Its something special. Its just like this country, we love it no matter who is in charge.
The ride was good for the most part, but as you see from the video it did not go well for this couple... thankful they saved themselves and their Truck. The other little snap I took was this inexperience driver not slowing down properly in a construction zone. The same guy past me later at 80 fish tailing all the way with his banged up car.
Well that's it folks, next live from national will be at the Four-Wide Nationals in Charlotte.
