Default Re: NHRA approved antifreeze

The issue is with Ethylene Glycol based coolants. Difficult to clean spills and many times, more difficult to clean than an oil spill.

On the other hand, NASCAR allows the use of Propylene Glycol based coolants. It dissolves easily with water and is non-toxic. AMSOIL Antifreeze & Engine Coolant is formulated with propylene glycol.

Indeed, the Evans Coolant is NHRA approved.
Also, Summit Racing has a non-Glycol-based coolant specifically for racing.
You can also run distilled water with two bottles of a wetting agent such as Redline Watter Wetter, Royal Purple Ice, or Pro Blend Below 40.
