Great post, Greg! This was my first Indy in 4 years - I drove down with my dad - and S/SS did not disappoint. The entire show was fantastic!
I'll add a few highlights to your list:
- Jim Marshall's bad fast I/SA that leaves the line like an SS/IA every time
- Travis Morgan's wicked fast SS/MA Firebird that could double as a Rockford Files tribute car
- Larry Hill preservering through Dumbo's challenges and putting down impressive numbers in FS/D (or was there a little long-term gamesmanship here?

)
- Marty Buth raising the 4-cylinder stocker bar again
- Ron Seibenick and Brent Kopejtka putting on a show in stock's slowest class
- James Tolston presevering, sneaking nto round 1 as an alternate and pulling out a round win without a single clean run on the board
- Robin Lawrence's CJ on a single run - maybe the meanest sounding Stocker I've ever heard
I wish I knew the answer to the AFHS dilemma - but there's something to be said about 300 of the best class cars in the world, all in one place, all with the loud pedals welded to the floor.
