It is always perceived that way. Yes, NTR is downhill mostly and then goes up hill at the turnoff and Norwalk is mostly flat until the very end, then it actually drops. It is deceiving for sure... I watched Tony Schumacher's 336.15 mph record run in 2005 and he had to be pushed off the track because he didn't make it up the hill at the end.

1/4 mile cone to sand = 1990' NTR
1/4 mile cone to sand = 2010' Norwalk
1/4 mile cone to sand = 1570' Kil Kare (that one will get your attention if you're running 1/4)
