Than you everyone for the responses. I first looked through qualifying for Stock and Super Stock at several Division 6 points races to see if I could possibly find a racer from his town who might know him. No luck. Then, I did a Google search for NHRA, Astoria OR. I found the name of a racer who owned a business in that town. Left him a message and he called me back. He doesn't know him, but he has an employee who does, and felt he was someone who could be trusted. Not perfect, but I feel comfortable moving forward with the purchase.
