Re: Live from Englishtown----NHRA Supernationals
What a difference a day makes -------- this morning the temp is already 68 with the high to be in the mid eighties ------- but the humidity is 68% and will drop into the 40 % range as the day goes on but the good news is that the barometer is 30.06 and steady -------- another crapshoot in the dial-o-meter as Stock and S/S will run their second rounds late this morning followed by rounds 3 and 4 late this afternoon .As most of you know the Pro's had a field day last night with the great conditions they had but today will be a totally different story -if you didn't get in the program you surely won't today without a miracle .Our own Lee Zane made two very nice passes that were straight and true and he looked like he had been doing Pro Stock for years instead of weeks but was a little short in the horsepower department and so far is not in the show .
Another hard worker this weekend is young Bryan Valentine -- after winning first round yesterday he realized that his converter was broke and with help from his dad promply changed it, then loaded up and went to Atco last night to test . Just what us "old" guys need - another young gun looking to win this race ! Yes , I remember what its like to have fire in my belly.....Oh, the good 'ole days .....bring 'em back .As for myself I'm on to round two thank God..........later .
