It may be a distinction without a difference, but it would appear that this engine (the so-called "NASCAR HEMI" that's in the NHRA Stock Car Classification Guide) was an actual engine, run on circle tracks in 1965, or thereabouts. Conversely, there seems to be no legimate documentation I've been able to find (including asking the GT 500 registrar for the national SHELBY Club, that there was ever a 1967 GT500 (428) offered for sale by Shelby, with a single 4-bbl intake manifold setup.

The other engine specs that are in the NHRA Blueprint Guide for that Hemi may be as lacking in histtorical significance, as are some of the Shelby specs... which may well qualify it as a "paper car," indeed, but at least, at some point, that engine DID EXIST, though perhaps with different technical specifications.

Maybe none of that matters, I dunno.... Still a "paper car," but not QUITE like the Shelbys....
