They need to what we did last year, we pointed in the two drivers many times, they didnt go in. We backed them out and told them autostart was turned off. We then held the tree for 10 seconds after they were fully staged. I didnt have a single problem the rest of the year.

I was in Topeka in 93 when Buster Couch set the starter box down and walked off the line with 2 pro stockers pre staged. The 2 drivers couldnt stage, about 30 seconds later he came back and motioned them in. Buster had control of the starting line.

I heard of one track operator who after the 2nd warning holds the tree for 2 seconds longer than it took them to stage. He held it for 46 seconds one night. He only gets about one burndown a year.
