I have picked up about .05 on a hot day. Cooler days you won't pick up as much. Fuel is already cool. Another thing I use to do is put my fuel jug in an Igloo packed with ice. I ran just as consistent as with a cool can. I would always drain al the fuel out of my tank before each race (not round) and fill it up with the cool fuel and did away with the cool can. We usually started racing in the late afternoon and being the tank in the trunk it wouldn't have enough time to heat backup. Enclosed trailers are nice, . Worked for me anyway.
