Re: Engine Builder????
Todd,
Sorry about the shot on Carrol Shelby, I just could not resist as I have read all the complaining about his "paper" cars on the forums. Personally, I really do not care what people say is legal or not. If NHRA allows it I guess it is OK. As far as Mopar giving assistance to racers, it has only been for larger displacement motors, thay really could give a rats *** about a 273 2bbl. Though I recall a SS/AH car operated by a father and son that put a bowtie emblem on their dashboard of their Mopar in retaliation for their displeasure.
There are a number of quality engine builders out there, how one works with his customers would seem important to me. Ron Kendzior, who used to build stocker motors way back when did mine and I am extremely pleased. That was like in 1989. I have heard alot of good things about Woodro Josey and alot of the other engine builders referred to on this thread. So, go ahead and pick one, just be carefull that it is legal in NHRA's eyes, or at least Glendora's viewpoint.
My next engine builder is going to be from a galaxy far far away, I just love the principal of magnetic molecule transportation within itself.
