FWIW,..I tow with a 2002 Dodge 1500 quad cab truck.I have a open steel trailer and with my car on it and gear,I'm towing right at 53-5400#'s.I used to own a Ramcharger before the 1500 and didn't like it at all,wheelbase was too short.Also I use the Reese equalizer hitch setup (with square bars) along with a Tekonsha Prodigy brake controller.My set up tows great.
